Bessemer Township . . . respecting the past,
envisioning the future.
We’re sure you will agree the Northwestern section of the
Upper Peninsula, especially here in Bessemer Township is a wonderful place to
live and raise families. We hope this website will provide you with information
about the township and to links of some of the services that are available
throughout our area.
Our job as officials of Bessemer Township is to use the past, present and future
to provide our residents with the most effective services that are needed in
order to keep the township running efficiently, yet always keeping the
importance of costs and lower taxes in mind. This means keeping up-to-date in
all facets of running a township from new billing formats, accounting
procedures, election laws, assessing changes, land division procedures, road
improvements/planning/zoning, tax laws, utilities’ maintenance and expansion, to
education and certification. We are here to serve YOU. After all, it was you
who placed this important responsibility on us. So, it is you whom we turn to
for feedback. Please let us know how we can make your township a better place
